Rain Leak

Hi There, I am having rain leaks in my camper and after much searching, we think it could be coming in via the vent from the gas fridge. Does anyone know of a vent which is adjustable and possible to use with a gas appliance (as many say not) or or some kind of a cowl to stop the rain coming in, it has nothing at the moment and we think this could be the culprit. I appreciate it would be dangerous to shut the vent when the fridge is operating but there are many times when it is not and it would be really useful to be able to shut the vent or as I say install one with a cowl if such exists - thank you Sarah

Hi and welcome to the forum Sarah.

It would be very helpful if you could add pictures of the fridge venting and exhaust.

It is also very possible that it is not rain water, but water from the fridge if it is a Thetford frost free fridge. The container bowl for this frost free water is too small and any movement could spill water inside the caravan or camper. Took us awhile to figure this out.

I would agree with Buckman. Rain is unlikely to come in through the vents except in a severe storm.
