Hi Bazz
Have a read of this ............
Forum sticky

If your comments fail to load onto the forum page your will need to configure your version of Internet Explorer to resolve a compatibility issue which arises out of Microsofts Internet Explorer not updating automatically like other web browsers.
To do this:

Click on Tools

From the drop down box which appears click on Compatibility Settings from the
Compatibility View menu.

In the dialogue box which will open from Compatibility Settings type
practicalcaravan.com into the 'Add this website' box

Click the 'Add' button
The full instructions with graphics etc can be viewed Here

Click Here for instructions on compatibility view for later versions (1:07 and later) of IE9

Update:

Has your PC done some recent updates ?
It will need the compatibility view mode re-setting for when you are using Internet Explorer.
When Internet Explorer senses a compatibility issue you'll see the Compatibility View button on the Address bar.

It will turn blue when in use.

Guessing the question....... Yes it will tow well, has ridiculous low stowage space and is a classic case of form over function:))

If those are the questions, they do tow very well indeed, and are fine for a couple with regards to storage, but a families clobber might be pushing it a bit. Tested at the 2012 Tow Car Awards.

The question could be is it any good for a mobile haidressing business!! Of course it is, what else would do so well!

Don't like the Evoque body, but the recent SD versions with Freelander mechanicals should be fine.

Just finished my first trip with a 2013 Freelander GS S Dwith the Ford 2.2. diesel and auto transmission, 1500kg van and being prepared not to like the car after a Merc E220 but in all fairness have to say it is preety damn good at least as far as handling and towing are concerned. Much more lively and stable than I expected, auto box seems to change down a bit earlier than i would have expected but but this way than a bit later. Steering is if anything a bit too light especially at low speed (fingertip stuff) but this may be adjustable through the computer system.
Fuel consumption too early to say - still less than 5000 miles - but in the high 20's towing so can't get too excitied about it given average speeds in the high 40's
So if you prefer the bodywork of the Evoque and price differential of the Evoque - go for it.
