Re-wiring a trailer

My car and caravan are both fitted with 13 pin plug and socket and I also have an elderly Erde 101 trailer (fitted with 7 pin electrics) which I am intending to rewire/update to a 13 pin plug.
Has anyone done this job and did they find any problems.
Would it be better to wire 13 pin plug to new "7 pin wiring" or update to 13 pin wiring?
Presumably, wiring and plugs can be purcheased from a local caravan dealer.
Any advice appreciated,

It is a straight swap from 7 pin to 13 pin system, you will only be using pins 1 to 7 on the 13 pin plug.

1. Yellow LH Indicator
2. Blue Rear Fog
3.White Earth Return for Pins 1to 8
4.Green RH Indicator
5.Brown RH Tail Light
6.Red Brakes
7. Black LH Tail Light
