Rear Suspension

Hi
My car seems to "sag" when the caravan is hitched up. I have checked the noseweight, & that seems to be fine. I came across an advert in Practical Caravan magazine for "Mad" suspension - has anyone used this product & if so would they recommend it. Or is there any alternative in which I can use.
Your thoughts/comments would be much appreciated.

This comes up a lot and one valid school of thought is that the car manufacturer knows what is needed and so it will be OK even if it looks nose down etc so long as it is between the max and min towball heights
I prefer to have it "look" right and have used Mads on Peugeot 405,Citroen Picasso,Nissan X Trail (new and old model) but at last I have the Ford Kuga and its OK !!
The different cars have all been fitted with different types of Mads varying from HD shocks on the Peugeot to new coil springs on the X Trail
I have been pleased with the increase in ride height on all the vehicles and the caravan has ridden less nose down with improved JW ground clearance and rear see through
Body roll has been reduced with no loss of ride comfort
You can get rubber spring assisters by Grayson etc that fit between the rear spring coils on cars with coil springs of course !!
These are readily available in Halfords etc
You don't say what make of car you have
I have some Mads for the current X Trail lying on the garage shelf

Hi John
We have debated this many times and Lutz is also of the opinion that well should be left alone and assisters are not necessary
This topic reminded me of him and I hope that he is avoiding the floods in Australia
Its good to debate without antagonism creeping in

Hello John,

No antagonism intended, just stating facts, and I hope it enables the OP to make an informed decision.

Hi John
My point was that we do debate without antagonism and we do so with respect for each others viewpoints
