Both offer a range of sites and other services. Their main Club sites seem to have become expensive and there is better value in the independent non- Club sector, but their 5 van sites ( CLs and CSs) are very good. We belong to both clubs mainly for their 5 van sites and for the CAMC Mayday cover. Really up to you; you don’t have to join either

Don’t use either nowadays but it depends on your age. If 60 or over the Camping and Caravan Club do give you age discount on pitch prices.

CAMC for years. Like Hutch and Mel the CLs are the main reason ,plus their Caravan Insurance scheme and Mayday breakdown cover.
CCC we let lapse this year mainly because our agenda doesn’t use any of their sites.
If you are planning a Scottish tour join both. The CCC Moffat site is a great staging post to the Highlands.
The CAMC site at Culloden near Inverness was very dictatorial! Stay off the grass, you are one inch outside your pitch!

For most of our time we were with both clubs for the same reason as Dusty, it gave a wider spread and choice if sites, and CL/CS, and a first rate insurance and breakdown policy from CAMC. But these days many independent sites have upped their game in terms of quality and price.

Similar to someone on here we joined both clubs loved there magazines and sites mainly CL/CS a lot on here rated there caravan insurance and breakdown it was a no brainer .
