Recommended Place To Eat - Close To Winchester Morn Hill Site.

Will be arriving from Spain/ Portsmouth Ferry and rather than face a longish tow home that evening have made a reservation at Morn Hill. We will head North the following morning.

Can anyone recommend a "pub" where we can have a meal that's fairly close. Not looking for gourmet restaurant - just a decent pub that serves standard pub style food.

We don't have a dog ourselves and would prefer a pub that does not allow animals in the dining area if possible.

If you go straight down the road about 2 miles down the road there is a pub on the right hand side. Good food, but pricey. Sorry cannot remember the name of the pub.

Its called the Golden Lion exactly 2 miles from Mornhill CMC site towards Winchester on the B3404 - Alresford rd. We used it whilst staying at Mornhill while visiting 2023 Winchester Xmas markets. Good quality typical pub food at the usual pub prices. Didn't find it pricey.
