Recommended Vets in Calais

Hi Folks,

Just registered today and straight in with a question.

We are hoping to take a trip to France shortly and on this occasion with our dog.

We intend to use the tunnel and wonder if anyone can recommend a good site near to a vet in the Calais region. As we have never had the dog out of the country before any other advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Wanderer

We went to France this year for the first time with our dogs. We stayed at Le Bien Assise at Guines about 10 mins outside of Calais and the dogs went to a vet called Clinique Veterinaire du Camp du Drap D'Or in Ardres which is 5 mins away from Le Bien Assise. The vet was excellent.

There's quite a lot to think about re taking dogs abroad. We kept a blog of our holiday which you might find helpful at www.dogtravelblog.co.uk which gives details of our experiences, including where we stayed with the dogs and how we found being abroad with them.

We had a great time and are planning to go again next year.
