Hi guys hope someone can help.
just purchased a caravan with the reich move control mover, the dealer checked and serviced the van and mover prior to collection and said all was well and working.
Got the van home easy enough when I went to get the van I set the mover up an all worked well, got it hitched to the car easy enough (first time using a mover). Disconnected mover and too the van over to the farther in laws to put all of stuff back in.
Got there unhitched and moved the car, engaged the mover and positioned the van, all good.
left it engaged as we weren’t going anywhere, just putting stuff back into the van, isolated the power put down the legs, connected electrics put everything away.
when we finished, put everything away, up with the legs, unplugged electrics and turned on the isolated switch, attempted to move the van ...... it made a noise but didn’t move !
Relised I had left the hand brake on ... removed said handbrake and tried again..
only one motor moves (o/s if that makes a difference)
turned off the isolation switch, turned it back on, still only the one moves..
tried a couple of resets on the control unit as sHown in the manual but still only one moves.
Any ideas please...

My first thought is how well charged is your battery?

Secondly if you retract the rollers will both work then?

When exactly did you purchase the caravan, as you may recourse to get it fixed through teh Consumer Rights Act.

They said that they had "just purchased" the caravan so assume within the last week or so. As said need to check if rollers turn when retracted. If still no joy it may also be a good idea to disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and then to reconnect and see if it then works.

Not sure if you have done some damage using it with the handbrake on but I have done this on previous caravans and no problems arose but with different makes of mover. I agree you should try to operate it with the rollers off the wheels to see if both motors are working and I would also check that they are tight up against the wheel when engaged.

It is unsafe to assumptions about exact times, when someone uses the phrase 'recent' it needs to be put into context, as it is a relative term not a definitive one. For example the Earth had a recent ice age in the context of the age of the earth. But that was 11,700 years ago in a 4,500,000,000 a year history, but it's not within my recent memory!

A consumer's rights under the CRA change depending on a strict time table, so precision with dates is important.
