Remitop rooflight string snapped

In case anyone has a similar problem we got 'brave' in the end and found the screws connecting the whole unit to the roof (covered by plastic covers). We could then look into the unit and managed to re-tie the string back onto the screw that it had come off - job done!!

Hi, I have the same problem with a RemiTop in a Bailey Pagent Bordeaux 2000 (which I assume is similar to yours given the description).. Did you have to completely remove the unit from the roof or did you find a way to replace the string from inside? I've removed the plastic covers which revealed flat metal plates but I fear removing those will lead to the whole right coming out which is rather not do unless I've no choice.

Thanks in advance!
