Hi Julie,

I can well understand the fact that you must feel very frustated by the numerous faults that you have or did have with your caravan. If you caravan dealer isn't giving you a satisfactory service, have you thought of taking your complaint to your local radio station, most of them have a consumer programme like we have in Hertfordshire BBC Three Counties Radio 103.8FM.We have a brilliant presenter called Steve Rhodes he and his team sort out all sorts of consumer problems out and gets excellent results. He only names the company you are complaining about if he and his team do not get satisfactory results for you the consumer.Great Programme.Give your local radio station a try.Jim

regarding the removal of messages ,it is not a question of should the forum bite the hand that feeds it,as most of you think that the hand is the advertiser ,im sorry to say but to me the hand that feeds pc is the caravaner not the advertiser because without us (the buyer) the (the seller)hasnt got a market niether has pc.

it would be nice to know that if a buyer has a problem with a certain model, make ,dealer or accessory that so long as they stick to factual events and problems they may air them on forums such as this .For me this is one of the best forums on the web , and so long as the site makes the disclaimer that the views aired on the forum are those of the contributer and not of the magazine i see no reason for editorial refusal or withdrawal. We need forums like this to help and make our decisions in buying what most of us think is an enormous investment in our hard earned money .Sso in closing without us (the punter)neither the magazine or the caravan industry would survive, we have a right to be sold things that do exactlt what is said on the tin if not it is only right fair and decent to have redress.

thanks for reading yours,

jim

Hello Richard and all other contributors.

Roger L has it about right, This site is owned by Haymarket publications, and because of the way the law considers ownership and editorial control, Haymarket can become exposed to litigation for views expressed on this site even by contributors who are not in the employ of Haymarket.

Haymarket are a business, and have a duty to their shareholders and customers to prevent exposure to uncontrolled risks such as contributor's views that may be defamatory and unsubstantiated.

The difficulty is that a contributor may start to maliciously leave posts, which are either untrue or defamatory. The website owners do not wish to become involved in resolving such issues, and thus have no option but to remove or block such submissions.

If you have a particular problem with a supplier, then you must use the normal resolution routes provided by sale of goods legislation or service specifically set and provided for that purpose.

Haymarket is a private company I thought.

As owners of "What Car" it seems funny that they invite comments on cars and publish good , bad and really bad comments about brands, and in readers own words it seems.

Yet here on the sister magazines web site readers have to keep quiet.

I feel it's time they started singing from the same hymn sheet and time someone at PCV Forum came clean. !!!!!!!!!!!
