removing and motr mover

I am hoping for some advice, We bought a powrwheel motor mover (grade 1) earlier this year. we have since decided to buy a new caravan but the problem is that the new one is far heavier so we need to upgrade the model. Having rung them today, they quoted me a reasonable price but there is a 2/4 week waiting list for the removal! we pick up the new van next week and i take my current van in on saturday!!!!!

We have 2 options.

a) We live in Lincoln - If anyone wants to come and take it off, you can buy it from me for £350.00. Baragin as i have onnly used it 3 times!!!!

b) my other option is to take it off and sell it on ebay. Does anyone have any idea if this is a simple operation to remover it???

Alternatively if there are any specialists from Lincoln area who could take this off, upgrade to cover a 1450kg van and then replace asap, please get in touch.

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It is a pretty easy job to remove as it is only clamped to the chassis members. Do remember the motor units are quite heavy and maybe a second pair of hands would save your fingers. The electrics are also easy, just undo the connections to the control box and remove. Remove the power cables at the battery terminals as well. Undo the selftappers that hold the wiring to the floor. You may have to think about the hole left for the master switch as to whether it will look unsightly, but as you have agreed a trade in then there shouldn't be a problem. The biggest issue is probably to raise the caravan at the front high enough to get at everything. Using a large block under the jockey wheel, and making sure there are separate supports for safety is the usual way. Shouldn't take more than an hour to remove.
