Removing glue from caravan windows

I need to remove some of the residue glue, left behind after stickers have been removed from the caravan windows. Please could you give me some advise on removing the glue without affecting the windows.

Regards

Ian

Hi, I used turps to get resin on my van, including the windows, having parked under pine trees in France. It was also good at getting the glue from beam deflectors of my headlights.

Hi IanMc,

You have to be a bit careful with plastic windows. I simply use cold cooking oil to thoroughly cover the residue, leave for 10 to 30 minutes then wipe of with a cloth and warm saopy water.

Moral of above:- Do not put stickers on your window! Certain types react with the window over time and it crazes over.I recently had to take a price drop on a trade in to allow for a replacement window. This was from a widely seen sticker from a well known Caravan Club which had only been on the window 2 years.
