Removing scratches from windows

Hi All

I have noticed light scratches on the outside of the windows on my caravan and wanted to know how to get rid of them? I have heard that tothpaste is good for this but was unsure which way to apply it.

Any help gratefully received.

ive used t-cut when ever i have had scratches on cd's and it works a treat, i should imagine it would not work the same on caravan windows.

The September Practical Caravan provides guidance on removing scratches from plastic windows in the advice section, page 40.

I wouldn't dare use scratch remover on specs!

The best way to clean plastic lenses is to run them under the tap, and wipe them dry with the cloth you get in your case. Even using paper tissue, or kitchen paper can scratch the lenses, and the preparatory cleaners you can buy for specs leave a film.

Either way, looks as if you will be going the expensive route!! :O)

I have used T-cut to remove scratches on caravan windows and it works very well (it was recommended to me by a caravan dealer when I went to buy some of the 'proper' scratch remover - he told me that's what they used)

As always with these things, try it on a small area first just to be sure.
