hi,i have seen on of these, a 99(v)facelift version,but cant find out the power output of it anywhere,does anyone have one?or do you know what the power is,as i need to know if it will pull my van ok,also can you tell me the max towing weight.are they reliable,thanks in advance,adrian
 
Hi Adrian

watch the weights with a Renault Scenic, the towing weights quoted by Renault only allow for the driver - i.e. passengers, luggage, dogs, etc are extra.

if you do a search back through the forum for Renault there is plenty of info.

like bave-fart has said there is plenty of information in the back pages in this section on renaults and meganes and senics.

some furinished by myself.

basicly :- if it is a DTI engine it will either be a 8Q =80bhp or 9Q =90bhp not very much power wise but enough to pull a smaller light weight van, bailey or swift the maximum tow weight is about 1275kg =100% which is driver only so any extra weight has to be taken off the max so I would not personally tow anything bigger that say a van with a mtplm of 1100kg .
