Hi,

Assuming I could physically get a domestic under-counter household 240v fridge in/out the front window, would it fit in the opening of the dometic one and then what becomes of the vents on the outside; are they part of the fridge?

Has anyone done it?

From my wide experience in the world of LPG installations in caravans (from 24 years ago,) I never saw a customer with a Fridge brand swap, so I cant confirm or deny whether there is a like for like replacement.

The manufacturers usually publish there product fitting instructions on line, so you would need to check the details for sizes and the fitting of vents.

As with all gas fitting it is very important that all the safety checks and procedures are fulfilled, and I'd suggest consulting a a qualified fitter to evaluate your situation and to do the necessary work.,

Domestic fridges aren't designed to handle RV life and they won't have mount points to bolt them to wall. Its recommended practice to always let domestic fridge rest for few hours before turning on.
