Replacing a window stay pinch Lock

The pinch lock on the window stay of the centre front window on our 2011 Lunar Clubman will no longer tighten and probably needs replacing. Unfortunately I can see no way of removing the window stay from the window (the opposite end unscrews from the window frame).
Does anyone know of a way to remove the pinch lock, without removing the stay. There is a hole in the pinch lock with a small metal 'tube' inside that secures it but I cannot work out how to remove this 'tube'.
Any ideas gratefully received.
Regards,
Ron. W.

On the window catch end of the stay you will find a very smal hole, insert a 2mm drill bit or very small screwdriver to release the lock, slide the catch off the window.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad it was useful. I have, however, locked the thread so as to prevent further discussion on such an old thread.
