Replacing skylight

This may seem like a daft question? I've already replaced one of the old skylights on our van. However I'm wondering how I go about replacing the one that is smack in centre of roof ( the shower one was odder so I could get to it on roof simply by leaning over using ladders)

obviously there is no way I can lean on roof. It seems a bit far to stretch over to seal it!

Thanks
Paul

If you could get a scaffolding plank or something similar - as long as it's able to rest on both edges of the roof, then that should spread your weight sufficiently to avoid any damage. An old blanket or bit of carpet underneath it would stop any paintwork damage.

Not sure what type of skylight you have but a few caravans back I had to replace one. I found that by holding the new skylight vertically and also diagonaly across the corners of the opening I was able to pass it up from the inside of the caravan and secure it from the inside without having to go on the roof. see if you can do this before trying to get on roof.
