Replacment steel pole

Can anyone recommend where I can source a replacement steel awning pole please? The original manufacturer folded many years ago and the caravan dealer that was local to us has also recently folded. I've been doing a search on eBay with no luck too.

Simple standard steel pole, 22mm in width, going down to 19mm in width where it turns to the part that would slide inside another pole.

Any help appreciated.

Not knowing where abouts in the country you are I would be getting in contact with peaople like Towsure, failing that I go to a place called Jacksons of Old Arley and they have always got a section of odd awning poles, if you give them a ring I'm sure Tommy will be able to help you out, and it could be sent through the post

Thanks for replying. I've updated my profile to show I'm in the NW, but providing I can get the pole (plus another spare would be good) I'm happy to pay for couriers etc. I'll look them up.

Caravan Stuff 4 U sell replacement awning poles and they do mail order. I've bought bits and pieces from them in the past and found them to be ok.

Hi Dave

We are too based in the North West. Campbells Caravansat Lostock Hall have a selection of 2nd hand awning poles in their awning section. I bought some spare fibre XL poles from them at a VERY cheap price but they, also, had alloy and steel ones too. That was a couple of years ago but I imagine they will still have them. You could given them a ring - make sure you ask for the awning department.

Our local caravan dealer, Steve Mann, at Ben Rhydding has a whole box full of awning poles of various types. It might be worth ringing him, too, to see if he has the right length/diameter pole.
