Hi! Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the above handbook, or perhaps do you have one I would be more than happy to pay for a copy! Even the simplist task was a nightmare, most I eventually overcame but by the time it was time to hit the sack I was too exhausted and couldn't work out which way the cushions went to enable me to make the double bed up...doh! dumb or what. Any "SEASONED" CARAVANERS out there could you kindly help a damsel in distress.....pleeeeeeze. Thanks for reading. Paula

Hi Paula,

If it's any consolation, I have an Elddis - with a handbook! It made no mention of how to arrange the cushions to make the bed so we also spent some time scratching our heads and trying to work it out.

There is very little in our manual that isn't in a general caravan manual (such as John Wickersham's books) - the individual product manuals are mre useful, such as the manual for the heater, the manual for the fridge etc.

So don't despair!

Hi, Many thanks, I think I will just have to Persevere and hope it will be one of the many things that I will look back on in my dottage and laugh about.... If at first you don't succeed try, try again..... good old Rabbie Burns eh? He came up with some crackers!

Hi, sorry forgive my ignorance, too early in the morning! Of course I know this saying is associated with the spider story and Robert Bruce, King of Scotland...... sorry!

Paula,

Went through exactly the same as you after getting my first van (with no handbook). Make a note of all the kit (Water heater, space heater, fridge, bog, cooker etc.,)in your van, make, model even serial number if poss. Google is your friend! From what I gathered, a lot of kit is standard across many makes of van of a particular age (water heaters just one example)

I've since created a pretty comprehensive guide for the equipment in my Coachman Mirage.

Paul try turning the seats over with the knee rolls towards the side of the van then turn the back rests over and place in the middle between the two, they should be a tight fit.

When we had our 2 berth Brightstar we found turning the seats and backrests over made for a flatter bed, don't have the problem now has we have a fix bed van.

Hope this helps
