rest area near southampton

Hi can anyone suggest a stop/rest area within 30mins of southampton(approaching from oxford A34.)travelling from derbys to the I.O.W.if we arrive at ferry terminal to early the waiting area is not very dog friendly never been a promblem in the past on our own-getting the dog on the ferry will be the next thread.many thanks in anticipation. david

Sutton Scotney Services are approx 20 miles south of Newbury and 4 miles north of Winchester. Located on the A34 with ample parking for caravans. An easy 30 mins, subject to traffic flow, from Southampton. I live approx 3 miles away from these Seervices. Ask if I can with any other queries.
