Restoring shine to toilet seat cover

We just change our van from a 4 berth to 2 berth it a Coachman 450/2 VS every thing is fine apart from the toilet seat [white cover] the only thing that we can think of is, The last owner [couple] she may have sat on the seat in her dress/jean? and put her make up on and it rub the top shine off it,
I tried Caravan polish/ car polish/ T cut as well, Just a little bit better but no where near the shine on the rest of the toilet frame cover.
What can I do? the van is only 9 months old, Thank you for your time Trevor123

The only thing i can think of to restore the shine would be to to remove it and lacquer it
Or buy a new one

Mine is similar and two years old. Always been the same. I use a spray of furniture polish but it doesn't really do much good. I'd be interested to know if anyone has fixed it.

Can you still buy those fluffy toilet seat covers that were so popular in the 1970s. You could get a matching mat as well.
