Retensioning front blind on Compass Image

I've attached a photo of the tensioning end of my blind. It doesn't look like any of the ones I've seen on the Internet. Is there something missing or broken?
If not, how do I retension it?

Turn it until (I think) the raised part, this will allow the centre to come out, it might suddenly loose tension as you withdraw the rod and the blind will drop, you then wind up the spring, you can normally see when it’s enough as the blind reaches the top again, that’s the easy bit, you then need to get the holder back into the cradle to lock it off.

Not sure how to turn it? And it's impossible to see what you are doing (there is room for a phone to take a picture, but not for my head).

this happened on my sons van, it was the front blind and went the full width of the van. Can't remember how we tensioned it but because bits had gone inside we had to remove and dismantle the whole blind. When you have it off I seem to remember that it is a fairly simple fix.
thankfully ours has 3 blinds on the front so easier to handle.
yours just might be a tensioning job. again all will become clear when you get it off.

The white pawl (yours are black)on the end of the spring loaded rod are held in place by the ears,,which in turn are held in place by linear and rotational tension. To increase the tension of the blind a screw driver as show should be inserted into the rectangular slot which is then turned anti clockwise carefully. The pawl must only be allowed out a couple of mm(the thickness of the ears on the pawl)to much and all the tension will be lost(not good) due to the spring unwinding.I place my thumb pressed on the pawl to help prevent this happening.Once the pawl is clear from the body of cassette it should be rotated clock wise to increase the tension using the screw driver,I do 180 degrees at a time, when at required tension the pawl should fit into slots for the "ears" and and pressed into place, they will then lock into place by the tension of the spring,What year is the caravan?
