Revealed: the UK's most dependable cars

Not sure what happened to my Mazda. Have to say ours has done over 40,000 in four years and not missed a beat.
The surprise is the Insignia which although a nice car always struck me as a bit of a gamble. Certainly our last Vauxhall a Vectra was far from perfect.

So the top tow car of the last decade is made by the manufacturer with the worst reliability record !

Usually the people who give the awards don't have to live with the cars long term, or pay for the repairs.

I am not sure how reliable these reports are, do they use proper samples of owners or do they rely on people submitting reports, how subjective are they, are people who spend £50,000 more likely to "find" faults than the owner of a £15,000, what is a fault? It could be that Land rovers have lots of annoying faults like radio not working or phone not pairing and Skoda had really piss you off issues like breakdowns.

And they report faults per 100 cars so with Nissan 98 faults per 100 cars, that could imply only 2% are fault free or hypothetically 1 car could have had 98 faults so 99% are a fault free, My wife is on her 5th new Nissan of various models and never had a single fault,
