Reversing Lights

I have a 2015 Sportage fitted with a Ryder 2218/7H Smart logic towing relay for the lights,I have had this from nearly new and never had no problems.However the fitter omitted the reversing lights and the fog lights.Im not bothered about the fog light but would like the reversing light working.I have connected the reversing lights to the relay.Question 1 should the car lights be on when in reverse with caravan connected
Question 2Will the relay disconnect the car lights automatically
Question 3Do I need another relay

Ideally, when the caravan is connected, the car’s fog light, reversing lights and reversing sensors should cancel. There is also an argument that the cars break lights should cancel as they can have a big reflection on the front of the caravan which can distract the driver at night.

Fog light is a legal requirement but reversing light not You definitely need the Fog to be working

On many modern cars the rear fog light requires the (circular) light switch to be pulled out, but you can only do that when the switch is in the headlights on position. In many VAG vehicles when the light switch is pulled out it switches the front fog lights on first, then the rear fogs with one clockwise click.

Our cars also require the headlights to be on before the hi viz rears and front fogs can be activated.
