Ring ULTRA awning light

I have been trying to remove the cover of the awning light and it will not budge.b Can anyone tell me how to unclip it as I am frightened that I will break it. Thanks Tony

There are four clips holding it, the bottom two's centres are 20mm to the left and right of the switch holder and their 10mm long, the top two are directly above the bottom ones.

You need to squeeze all four at the same time and pull, the catches are only about 1/2mm deep so no need to squeeze hard to release them

You're quite right, these can be very difficult to remove. Try squeezing the two at the top first, just to break the grip. The actual cover is quite thick and you are unlikely to break it. If you look closely at the cover, you will find 4 small circles moulded in, which are the places to press to release.

You might be interested to know that Ring make a PIR version which is a direct replacement, but you may have to add an additional supply wire, dependent on what you already have

Sorry to resurrect an old thread! The joys of the internet, this has just solved the same problem for me! Awning light bulbs now changed ! 😉
