rising wheel clamp

just started to caravan on my own,i find to level van off is hard to do,ive read about a clamp you attach to wheel and use a socket spanner to make it rise,my caravan is 1465kg,would any clamp lift this heavy van.

Maverick,

Have a look in the Towsure site, item CL1 , is what you are looking for. I have a home made version it works a treat.

good luck Tony A.

only one experience of this and that is a guy who I had to help as his had sunk into soft ground and managed to get stuck around his wheel. took us about an hour to sort and ended up having to tow his van out with a 4x4 to release the damn thing

Hi Maverick

I would really think about getting a caravan motor mover - powrtouch will supply and fit reconditioned second hand models if the new are too much for the budget, it takes our van 1465Kgs up slopes in reverse etc and makes levelling with ramps a breeze.
