rivendale

Hi Stephen, We went to Rivendale in Feb 2005, the place is in an old quarry and it was very cold & frosty, when they said hardstanding pitches the emphasis was on the hard. There was a small bar and restaurant on the park ,I don't know if they are still there, the toilets and showers were clean and well heated and there was a decent sized dog walk on site. A small shop in the reception sold the necessities but for a supermarket I think the nearest was in Ashbourne. Locally there was enough to keep us busy for almost a week with trips to Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock was well worth a visit for the "heights of Abraham" alone. All in all a friendly place when we were there and one I would return to , however for more up to date reviews check here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=rivendale&by=sitename
