roll away path

We are looking at buying a roll away path, to stop dirt/mud being brought into the awning when on a grass pitch. We have in the past carried 4 wooden deck tiles with us, but they were heavy and awkward and at times never reached.

Anyone have any experience? or an alternative???

Thanks

Trude.

Hi

We saw some caravanners with the roll up path in use last year in Cornwall, looked good. We also saw a similar thing, it was like the roll up path but squares roughly the size of carpet/kitchen tiles, again thought it was a good idea.

Last year we went and bought a piece of clear carpet protector off the role from a carpet shop. We have it cut in 2, one piece goes from the door enterance of the awning to the door of the caravan, the other goes from the back window of the awning to the front window. It means we can walk in the awning and the kids can play with cars etc. We only use it if its wet and muddy. It rolls up when not in use and gets lifted daily on site.

Hope this is of some help.

Annette

Seem to think I have seen such a thing advertised in gardening magazines to make temporary paths for wheelbarrows. Maybe worth a try.
