You could try soda crystals or sugar soap for cleaning algae and tree sap from caravan roofs.

Just rinse well and wash with car shampoo afterwards to remove any residual products.

A good polish & it will look like new

Has anyone come up with an easy method of reaching across a van roof and being able to exert sufficient weight onto the brush to remove dirt? I stand on the top of a step ladder but have difficulty in getting enough downward pressure on the brush. Any ideas out there?

use a wash brush and a 5 step lader strong mix of fenwicks dose the roof for me.I polish the roof and get the middle with a dry floor mop the flat type that you can wash the cover.

I stand on mine and use a broomhandle with brush !!

If half of baileys management team can stand on a caravan it should be Ok with just me ?

It might sound daft but i use one of those extending brushes and ive made up a large lead weight which i can fix to the top of the brush head which gives it the extra weight to reach across the roof.

No need to apply pressure, just pull backwards and forwards across the roof.

Works well for me.

Seems like the answer to my question! Will try it next time. Cheers!
