We had a Camos satellite dome fitted to a Sterling Jewel which has just been transferred to our new Senator California. Great bit of kit - takes about 2 minutes to lock on to the satellite when we arrive somewhere new, once it has locked on it doesn't use anymore power so battery drain (it operates on 12 volt) is minimal. We;ve used it in the Vosges area of France and in the Eiffel area of Germany plus very north of Scotland - good signal in all areas, we certainly wouldn't go back to any other system. We choose the Camos because of the good coverage, it isn't affected by winds (a friend has a conventional satellite dish fitted to the roof of his van - quote often has to lower it because of high winds, we live in N Scotland) and can easily be moved from one van or motorhome to another. Only small hole in the roof for the single wire connection. The dome sites on pads fixed to the roof.
We have had this system for 3 years now without any problems whatsoever.
