roof vents left open whilst travelling

I am amazed at the number of roof vents large or small being left open whilst the caravan is moving. I think I've lost count. I know it's been warm (most of the time) and roof vents have been opened but we always check all have been full closed before moving off, same for the windows. So far (touch wood) we've never had a roof vent come off but they can't be cheap. Anyone else noticed this??

Its very easy to do.

I now have a checklist on my pda which I use for a final runthrough before leaving. Often find something I've missed!

i've noticed this too used to see the odd one but I saw loads when in Devon in July this year not always in good weater either .Personally i'm a bit obsessive about checking windows, doors and hatches.

I live in the southern part of Snowdonia [Barmouth] & I see loads of caravanners who've just left their sites with a roof vent open. I also see loads smashed to bits on the road!!

I used to give them a flash and point at the roof of the 'van but it just gets a blank stare at best!
