Roof vents

Not sure if this is the right board to post this on, but here goes.

Can anyone recommend the best place to get replacement roof vents in the North West?

It seems we left one of ours on the M1 and the other two don't look too good, so I figure I'd best swap all three.

On that note. The measurements given on various websites do not seem to match mine. My van is a 1989 ( I think ) Swift Challenger. I have measured the internal aperture to 380mm x 380mm.

The various vents I have seen are 280 x 280; 320 x 360; or 400 x 400.

Does this mean I'll have to get the 400 units and open up the hole in the roof?

Sorry if that's a daft question. It'll probably become apparent when I go back to check tomorrow, not long got home.

Hi farther Ted

the normal openings are 380x380 so you will need the 400x400 they fit straight in and you can get these new from most caravan accessory shops or second hand on ebay, you need to make sure you clean the old mastic off when you remove them tho

Thanks.

I've taken the framework out now and the opening does indeed measure to 400mm. I also found out I can just buy the "lid" as it were. So that'll be cheaper for me.

Emailed a couple of breakers to see if they have anything suitable but if not, at least new aren't too expensive.
