Hi , does anyone have any experience fo the site at ROSS PARK . We are looking at visiting in Sept for a few days , with a view to having a seasonal pitch there.

Any info would be greatly appreciated , along with any hints for other sites in that area.

Many thanks

Andy & Kate.

Hi Andy - We have no experience of Ross Park but have for many years been regular visitors to Widend Caravan Touring Park at Marlden nr. Paignton. It is a family run site with a small club house for a quiet evening drink, a heated outdoor swimming pool, children's play area and games room and excellent toilet/shower facilities. There is also a shop and part time take away on site. It is central and approx. 10 mins. by car to either Torquay, Paignton, Brixham or Totness. They do seasonal pitches and also store caravans and pull them out onto a pitch if you wished to visit - require 48 hours notice for this. The van will be sited for when you arrive.

Telephone Julie on (01803)550116 and mention Myrna & Colin from Bridgend - apart from being regular visitors we have no connection with the site or owners.

Hi Andy and Kate

We have stayed at Ross Park a few times, last time at Easter this year, and fell in love with the site, so much, are planning to go there for our main holiday next week.

The site is immaculatey clean, and very well laid out. The meals in the restaurant are reasonably priced and tasty. The owners are excellent and can't do enought to help you.

Hope this helps, Tracy

Hi Andy and Kate

We were there four years ago. The onsite facilities were excellent and we had some good meals in the restaurant.

They have a big field , on a slope for the dog walk so that helped as well, keeping old Dusty happy.

Not been back because there are so many other places to see but if asked , yes I would happily return.

Cheers

Alan

We stayed there in April and i can't recommend it enough. Probably the best site we've ever been to.

If you have dogs then you're definatly going to the right place because they really do cater for dogs there are 3 dog walks, dog showers, doggy bins with bags you even get a dog bone for each dog when you arrive. You can even take your dog into the conservatory part of the restaurant if you don't want to leave it in your caravan.

hello....we went to this site at the end of july for 10 days its lovely. you wont be disappointed, the staff are very helpful and will put the van on the pitch for you if you want, the pitches are all well maintained. the facilities are immaculate. lovely games field. dog walk

as regards getting a seasonal pitch i think the waiting list is about 2 years or so!!

a short distance away is Dornafield CC site.. another lovely site but with a narrow lane to get to it and a brick wall at the entrance which is not so forgiving..
