Rosyth - Zeebrugge to finish

Not surpirised this ferry passenger service is stopping due to low demand - the fares are extortionate.
Return crossing Rosyth to Zeebruge during September for car/caravan and a 2 berth cabin - over £1000.00
I stay about 40 miles from Rosyth, the cost of the fares have always stopped us using this service. We drive down to Hull (about 5 hours drive) and get a return crossing with cabins and pre booked meals for less than half this cost.
So for a saving of approx £600.00 the drive to Hull is almost a pleasure.

I used this service when it was the old superfast crossing and it used to be good until they got silly with the prices. They did bring the prices back a bit but with the Newcastle sailings allowing caravans to travel for nothing some days they were still expensive.

However the real bad news was the crossing time which jumped upto something like 20 hours and an arrival time of around 13.00 hrs meant that you were quite restricted as to how far you could travel from port to your first stop over.
