Early next year I intend to travel to Alicante and am looking for a scenic route from Calais thru France, via Barcelona and on to Alicante. Any tips?

You need to take into acount as it will be winter the best route may not be scenic, speaking with a friend who last winter went down that way with a van he followed an snow plough most of the way and was only to pleased to do so.

What I tend to do is check the mileage from various ferry ports to the destination, this allows you to work out costs etc
