Route to Aberaeron

Hi, can anyone tell me what the A487 is like for towing a caravan between Machynlleth and Aberaeron?
Thanks in advance.
Jake

We did that route from Dolgellau to Newport some years ago. Don’t recall any concerns. You can “drive” it on Google Earth using Streetview

Don't get mixed up between aberdaron and Aberaeron(aren't sat Navs wonderful). A member of our diving club did that once and missed out a splendid underwater pinnacle near Aberdaron.

Jake , check all the speed limits. They seem to change without warning. You need to keep your eyes wide open. Eg last year the number of”hidden” 20 mph signs in wales was unbelievable.
Just another HMG income stream!

Wasn’t the introduction of widespread 20mph speed limits introduced via the Welsh Government, not HMG. Although the Treasury receives the fines. Not a well thought out policy by the Welsh Government

Notwithstanding they are a pain in villages and towns as I still have to gear down to keep to the limit and am ever conscious of holding up those behind me.

No idea. But the signs are in Welsh first then English

First thought: That’s a funny looking Welsh Dragon
Some considerable time later: Doh!

And I am Welsh ( ex Pat now)
