Route to Christchurch Forest of Dean from Chepstow

Hi.
We are off to Christchurch in the Forest of Dean on Monday and am looking for the best route to take from Chepstow.
We stayed at this site last year,but drove along the A48 for a while,then turned left near Lydney.
However,after looking at our booking confirmation,they have included a route to take.
It recommends taking the B4228 in Chepstow and to follow it all the way to Coleford.
Ive just looked at the AA route planner and was wondering if this is in fact the best route for a car and caravan.
Does anyone have any advice on this route please?

Hello Adrian,

I have recently made virtuall the reverse journey (Coleford to Chepstow and onto Bath over the M48 Bridge) The route I took with just a car was the B4228, and in my opinion it is suitable for a car and caravan.
