Royal Welbeck 260 Porch Awning

Hi Anyone had any experience of a Royal Welbeck 260 porch awning??

Bought one, has been amazing (until it rained).

Water is cascading down (inside the van). Not good when electrics are underneath etc.

Anyone else had issues? With all the awnings over the years never had this issue.

Actually videoed it, that bad to send to the company it was bought from

Some awnings need to be exposed to rain in order for the stitching to get wet, swell, fill the stitch holes, and keep the water out.
So if its a brand new awning that might be the answer to your woes.

Where is it entering the caravan, “cascading” sound more than just having a few minor leaks until the stitching expands in the seams.

I suspect its coming into the awning rather than the caravan, otherwise it would be the caravan that's leaking.

That’s why I questioned the OP as he did say “cascading into the caravan” which I did find unusual. Even with a new awning where the stitching needs to swell I’ve never had other than some drips.

Water cascading down the side of the van, inside of the awning. Maybe should have explained that slightly better 🤔 With the amount of rain that we have had on this site for the last 4 days I am surprised it even lasted. It is fine now looks as though it did need waterproofed
