Rugs on Caravan floors

In trying to keep the carpet clean in my Bailey Ranger I have fitted rugs over the main areas where wear takes place. In the past I have found a double sided lattice based adhesive tape to fill the bill when applied to the rugs. However the tape has run-out and I can't find a supplier for a replacement. It was called 'Rug Grip' or something very similar. I have tried several carpet, shops and magazine adverts and purchased a number of suggested remedies all to no avail, the d***d mats still shift. Has anyone any ideas where I could get something to overcome my problem please?

Hi Peter,

I too would like to see areply to this topic as we have 4 floor mats that absorb dirt and wet as you walk on them. I have tried the hook side of velcro and anti slip pads stuck to the base of the mats and they still keep moving several inches(cms) at a time and it is really annoying.

Any ideas would be greatly appriciated

This applies to our current Bailey and our previous Elldis

I have just solved this problem on a mat at home and am hoping it does the job on the caravan mat too. If you have a Dunelm locally they sell a backing sheet to stop mats slipping on stone floors. I bought one for

Peter, have you thought of fitting loose rugs the type you can get from Ikea ("scatter rugs") . These are easilly removed and washable. Has we have a dog who some times wonders in without wiping his feet there are ideal. They stay in place without any addesives or grips. Bazz.
