Running off 12v battery

I recently bought a Bailey pegasus grande rimini 2020 and would like to know how to run it off my leisure battery, can't seem to work it out.

There is a single master switch on the control panel, that needs to be in the on position before anything will work.

There will be a master switch on a control panel, probably near or over the door. Turn this on, should work 12v systems assuming you have a charged leisure battery. Just note that 3 pin plug sockets, the fridge and microwave will not work on 12v.
Hope this helps

If everything described above is correct as it should be, and you have checked the battery voltage with a digital voltmeter and still there is no 12V to the lights, find the in-line fuse between the battery positive and the power box - that is the only other single point of failure. It is usually at the power box end of the cable, possibly in the cable cluster at the inlet.

Give the poster a break as they are probably new to caravans and we ALL know how useless the generic owner's manual can be for any brand of caravan. Maybe the poster bought the caravan second hand and there is no owner's manual? 🤔

I can't speak for Bailey BUT a couple of years back Swift decided not to publish manuals but held everything online, trying to find anything was painful! Fortunately when we changed to a 2022 model everything was back to a "proper" manual!

The time it lasts depends on the level of use and the size and condition of the battery. You do have to be sparing with the use of electricity and run everything you can on gas and it should last a few days, probably about four, but it depends on a lot of different factors. If you plan to use it off grid for several days then a 110 amp battery and a solar panel might be the best bet.
