rusty fridge shelves

Ah! Ha! Finally managed to open your Post. It seemed to always get in a loop.

All fridge shelves go rusty sooner or later as the plastic covering gets worn or damaged. Unfortunately the best answer is to buy new ones from the caravan shop or E Bay. Mine have started to go the same way after 3 years so I suspect it is time to fork out

I seem to remember there being a problem with some fridge shelves and rust, I think it was Thetford, where a batch of faulty shelves were fitted.

If your fridge is still under warranty (manufacturers) then you may well get them replaced FOC

This problem came up a while back and I think the suggested solution was to soak the shelves in sugar free cola.

That works if they are the 'chrome' type, but not the white plastic coated ones.

If your 'van is still under warantee Malcom, then the manufacturer will change them.

We had the same problem with ours, after a year they started to rust, we got ours changed with no trouble.
