Ruth Kelly

Noticed on last nights TV news, Ruth kelly arriving at her office in a ministerial car. What I want to know is, if Public Transport is so good, why does she not use it to get around London. Never mind the schooling this woman is not fit to be a Goverment Minister . Thinking about most of them aren't IMHO.

Ruth Kelly had made an important statement. That is to say that she has comfirmed what mamy parents of children with "special educational needs" have been claiming for many years. The fact is that mainstream schools are not able to meet the needs of all children.

She is also a member of Opus dei - google that to get an idea of where she is coming from (or not).

Its a sort of Roman Catholic masonic lodge where everybodies ambition is sainthood.

Ruth Kelly ,has behaved like a mother and has looked to the best interest of her child .Good for her .The up side to this is that it has drawn attention to the problems in the state system for children with special needs. Col

Ruth Kelly was also the Minister with responsibility for Education. So on that basis the problems are in the department she was supposed to run!!!!. So rather than sort the problem, she opted out and just decided to pay. Nice if you can afford it, But what if you can't. Don't look to Ruth Kelly to sort it

I agree totally with the support Ruth camp on dislexia.

My son was "branded" slow, thick disruptive at his junior school. It wasn't until they tapped into his artistic skills and allowed him to verbally express himself that they found that he is non of the aforementioned.

He is Dispraxic.

As for the ministerial cars etc then I do agree there on what a waste of our money. Give them a bus pass (most qualify on age alone anyway) or give then a push bike. Al least they'll be a little closer to reality!!

Steve.
