Saab 9-3 Convertable

Does anyone tow with a 9-3 convertable, I am shortly due to retire and have promised myself 2000 -2001 model. weight about 1400Kgs depending on model. I tow a Swift Charisma 550 unladen weight 1180 Kgs, with about 100Kgs of kit for the 2 of us - so weights should be OK anyone have any experience?
 
You can count yourself lucky that the Saab 9-3 convertible is actually approved for towing. For structural reasons quite a lot of convertibles aren't. In fact, the Saab 9-3 has quite a respectable maximum permissible towload of 1600kg.
