We had to use a Saucepan from the van over the xmas period, and I casually mentioned they would soon need replacing.

Off she trots with daughter in tow, into town and hey presto they duly returned with a new set of half price Pans---------

WITH GLASS LIDS!!!!!!

Hi Folks,
It's not the fact that she brought them, but the fact they had GLASS lids, just the thing for travelling in a caravan----NOT

Lisa, she also came back with the usual "bargains"

We've had 3 glass lid pans and a glass lid wok for caravanning for at least 10 years. What's the problem?

Think you have been lucky they have not shattered, ours would travel in the little cupboard under the cooker/oven and as they are literally on the floor think they would be bouncing around when moving.
Do you wrap/pack yours separatly each time you travel ?

No way, we couldn't mess around.
Wok lid sits upside down in the wok and travels in the oven, two smaller pans sit on oven floor lids upside down under the oven rack that the wok sits on so the lids can't jump out. Tea towell goes over oven door when closed up and that has protected the oven door glass fine in two caravans. Large suacepan travels in pan under grill with lid turned upside down wih second tea towel to protect door glass

Dear one and all (I'll speak to you Mr Gump later) may I thank you all for you sincere and helpful input in this difficult time for me regarding the GLASS LID saga, I would duly like to inform you all that the said PANS AND LIDS have rightly or wrongly been returned to there previous owners, this decision was taken to allow them to be cared for in a proper static abode by some one who will love and cherish them better than I ever could.

That would have been far too expensive, your quote actually helped me make up my mind to return them.
