Travelling from rotterdam to Salzburg next May. Anyone done this route?--if so can you suggest a evening stop over not too far from the auto-bahn

What I did doing a similar journey was drive as far as

I could , given traffic conditions , weather etc.

Stopped at a site north of Wurtzburg in Markheidenfeld which was very good.
