Hi all,

Has anyone been to this camp? (what a fantastically stupid name for a camp site!)

We are thinking of going there at easter.

a great sight. some pitches can be a bit tight getting onto if you've got a big van though.

Hi Nicci

Sandy Balls is big busy and expensive, but we go quite often because it is also very good, most things are available on site, pub, restaurant, take away, swimming pool etc. Site gets very booked up for peak times so if you are looking at next Easter ring them now.We are going for Christmas and we booked at the end of May this year.Leaflet explains the name when you get there.

Hi,

We go there 3 or 4 times a year,it can be expensive at peak times, but they often have some good off peak offers.

As Keith said it can get very busy, but a lot of the pitches are of a good size.

Good pub/entertainment complex and pool.

A few good pubs within a few miles, including one at the top of the village so within walking distance that does good food.

Excellent walking/cycling territory.

As already said there is a history to the name!
