Denise,

We go there a few times each year (and easter is usually one of those times) and have done so since 1995 when our children were little.

It is expensive at peak times, but you do get decent sized pitches, virtually all of which have multi service hook ups.

There are a couple of good play parks for the children.

Also if you are not taking a dog, if you opt for the North Field you will be in a dog free zone.

The fees include free use of the swimming pool, at busy times you get a timed session.

There is plenty of choice for food and drink on the site, also if you go up to the top of the village (Godshill) there is a traditional pub (The Fighting Cocks) which is child friendly and has a brilliant menu including kids meals.

Take your bikes or you can hire them there as there are some good rides if you dont mind a few hills.

Only thing to watch is that the shower blocks can struggle a bit at peak times.

Denise,

Forgot to say we have also used their lodges on a few occasions and they are really good as well.

Denise,

we have been to sandy balls quite a few times and it's great for the kids and adults alike, they have hourly activities for kids which there is a small charge for (1-2 pounds i think)clowns and magician's which was free of charge, they also have farmers markets on certain sundays, as john said decient sized pitches that are serviced and you have top get in early to get the time you want in the swimming pool usually a hour in the main pool during busy times..............

mark.

Thankyou John and Marky, It sounds good and I havent really heard any bad comments about it. I know it is not everyones cup of tea but at Easter we need to go somewhere with things for the children to do. Last May bank holiday week at Warcombe Farm in North Devon with torrential rain and gales was no fun especially when we lost the awning on the third day but still did not pack up and go home - not with their prices! denise.
