Sandyhills bay, Scotland.

Paul,

We stayed on Brighouse Bay last month(a sister site) but we spent an afternoon on the beach at Sandyhills Bay. It's a nice clean site right by the beach - the reception car park is also the public car park for the beach. The beach is nice but the tide goes out a very long way.

Sandyhills Bay is a much quieter site than Brighouse (depends what you want) but seems a very pleasant site nevertheless.

Hope this helps.Ken

Hi, I walked through this campsite to get onto the coastal path walk from Sandyhills to Rockcliff which is lovely and not at all difficult if you don't mind climbing stone wall stiles. (My 73 year old mother was fine, my 9 year ol labrador less so but brain power rather than fitness was the issue)! Anyway, the site looked fine, a lot of statics and tents, on a flat field, no attempt at privacy/hedging but seemed well kept. We stay at Kippford Holiday park in the area which is a hilly site so feels smaller than it is ... we go fully serviced, I'm not sure the toilet block is 100% from what some others were saying!
