Hi all, just wondering if anyone has stayed at this site. Would be interested in knowing what you think and also what the area is like. Thanks in advance.

Hi Helen

I don't know that particular site but in 2006 we spent 2 very pleasant weeks at Camping Cavallino which is in the same area.

The Jesolo Peninsula stretches between the Adriatic Sea and the Venice Lagoon to the North of Venice. The Adriatic side is lined with campsites, including Cavillino, which stretch along the sandy beach which slopes very gradually into the warm Adriatic.

There is not a lot to see on the Peninsula, in my experience, but it is an ideal place for visiting Venice as a regular ferry departs from Punto Sabione (sp?) at the southern end of the Peninsula.

If you look on ukcampsite.co.uk you can read my review for Camping Cavallino, including our tips for visiting Venice, on the campsite search section. There are other reviews for other sites in that area too.

I hope this helps.

Tim

We have stayed in Cavallino at three sites over the past few years. The peninsula has about 30 high class campsites in total. We would highly recommend a visit. This year we spent 4 weeks at Camping Paradiso. All pitches there are fully services and approx 90-100 sq metres. Site fees are not cheap: expect up to 40 euros pn in high season - but well worth it.
