Has anyone had trouble fitting this, we have an avondale avocet and the ALKO receiver seems to high off the ground and we have not had any success in fitting it.

Yes. My other half complains that the bolt will not line up correctly because when the clamp is on the ground the bolt is at an angle and for the bolt to tighten correctly it needs to be in a straight line. I hope you know what I mean.
